Application for admission to the Master of Buddhist Studies (MBS) programme 2019-20 is now open. This programme is not only an opportunity for you to learn about Buddhist teachings in a systemic and comprehensive way, but is also a chance for you to understand more about yourself and the path to sustainable happiness.

Areas of Study 

  1. Buddhist traditions

Early Buddhism, Mahayana Buddhism, Indian Buddhism, Chinese Buddhism, Ch’an Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Japanese Buddhism

  1. Buddhist Texts, Thought and Culture

Study of Buddhist texts, Madhyamaka & Yogacara schools, Abhidharma, Buddhist art & ethics

  1. Applied Buddhism

Buddhist counselling, psychology, mediation, liturgy & rituals, Buddhist solutions to current social problems 

  1. Buddhist Languages

Pali, Sanskrit, Classical Tibetan
